The tournament will take place on the evening of March 6th and all day and evening on the 7th and 8th.
All games will be played on indoor soccer fields at Servus Credit Union Place, 400 Campbell Road, St. Albert
Age Groups and Categories:
Register your team according to your present league's division or a higher division if you are intending on 'playing up'. All categories offered in this tournament must have a minimum of 4 teams to run. Should any category not have a full complement of teams, SASA will do its best to fill the vacancies. Should this not be possible, refunds and/or alternate suitable categories will be offered to teams affected.
AMSL & Premier teams may play in an Open division. SASA reserves the right to combine divisions as needed.
Entry Deadline and Fees:
The team’s registration fee must be paid to confirm the team’s participation in the tournament. There will be NO refunds after the application deadline of Feb 14th. Teams will be accepted on a first come first served basis. If a category is full prior to the deadline, entries will be wait-listed with no guarantee of entry.
Teams guaranteed a minimum of three games:
All registered teams can login using their email address to input the roster information. Teams are required to specify guest/trialist players. Once a team has created their electronic roster and uploaded their official provincial roster, they will be able to download and print their game sheets directly from the system. Please inform the organizer of any league games your team has scheduled during the tournament. Schedules will be posted no later than Feb 21, 2020. Teams are required to enter their Team Roster at least seven days prior to the start of the tournament. Revisions (if any), must be presented in person prior to the start of their first game to Tournament HQ at Servus Credit Union Place, 400 Campbell Road, St. Albert. Maximum of 25 players on the roster.
Cash prizes for first place in each group. Prizes will be awarded to the winners immediately following each division’s last scheduled tournament game.
Out of Town Teams:
SASA will do its best not to schedule travel teams until March 7th; however, there can be no guarantees. We will also attempt to schedule final games for out of town teams before 6:00 pm on March 8th to assist with travel and accommodation.
Out of Province Teams:
Prior to their 1st game of the tournament, all teams from outside of Alberta must provide a signed copy of their “Out of Province Travel Sanction Form”.
Player Eligibility: ASA Rosters
All teams from within Alberta, are required to submit their completed ASA team rosters. Proof of registration and age must be carried at all times (hard copy, player cards when possible) or a valid Driver’s License. Players must be currently registered with their Provincial Association to participate in this tournament. Each team is permitted to add an unlimited number of guest players to their existing roster, contact the tournament organizers when registering if this is a problem. Guest players must be registered on a Provincial Registration form and must be of the same or lower tier/division that you are entered in for the tournament. Teams using guest players must fill out the guest player form.
Game sheets are available on-line. Please login, download, and print your copies. You will need a copy for each of the games. It is the team’s responsibility to have the game sheet ready before the kickoff. The tournament staff will collect the game sheets from the referees at the conclusion of the games.
